i was driving the other day to work.... and i was thinking (i think a lot when i drive)
i remember when i was still in primary school. my dad use to drive me to work in his pickup. we would leave the house very early, before the sky is bright. he would bring me to lavander, there we will have breakfast (fried bee hoon), his workers would come and he will drop me off to school before he goes to work in the shipyard. i was in primary school then, must be around 7 or 8 years old. my dad...30plus.
I would sit in his car, and we seldom talk. i guess its a man thing...silence communication..father and son.
every morning, before the sky is bright (since my parents move it with us), my dad will follow my car and i will drop him off at bishan park (before i go to work), where he will do his morningn exercise and then meet his friends for kopi. Again, in the car, we do the man thing - silence communication. he is 70 years old now, and me 39.
i love my dad. such a character.
i was thinking, our roles have reverse and there are a lot of similarity in there.
maybe that is what we call life cycles....hmmm...
another useless thought.
