one of the greatest invention i think is the credit card.

and american express got it right - dont leave home without it.

but i was thinking, why do banks that endorsed these cards reward those who spend a lot and make minimum payment. dont they know that by paying minimum, the card holder are actually spending more than what he or she can afford?

so, there you go, they reward them with dining vouchers, spa treatments, free golf etc etc..... and these card holder will spend and spend and spend...essentially digging a hole bigger and bigger and bigger until the cannot fill it, and then what?

and naturally, my thoughts was, WHY DON"T THEY EVER REWARD THOSE WHO SPEND WISELY? why do the penalise people who make payment in full monthly?

as a matter of fact, we are NEVER rewarded for good things....

do you get rewarded if you pay your bills early?.. you get a fine for being late

do you get rewarded for being a loyal specific telco service provider?... you dont get vouchers for being a loyal customers

do you get rewarded for working hard?... others get promoted and you dont, you get snubbed!
