last sunday, i was reading the papers...there was this article that i read and it really sets me thinking...
this article is about a 18 year girl (her name is joan) having tongue cancer..and is dying. she have been fighting it for 2 years. she is now 20. doctors give her a few more weeks..if not a month to live.
what were you doing at that age?....going to parties? enjoying life with your parents money? shopping...travelling and having a carefree life? fighting with your boyfriends or girl friends? talking about killing yourself cos of a bad relationship? not enought money to spend..blaming your parents? what? do you remember?
this poor girl, at the age of 18 was fighting for her life and she is just so strong to face death. her 2 years of experience with life will never surpass what we have been thru all our lives. i don't pity her, but i really admire her courage. her courage to face anything that comes her way. her courage to face death. her courage to tell her story.
her story tell us not to be so concern with unhappy things that may come our way.... cos there are worst. her story teaches us to be brave and face problems that comes our way bravely, cos there is really nothing that cannot be solved . her story tell us to not give up at the slightest obstacle without giving it a fight...cos everything is worth fighting for. her story want us to know that we should let worry worry itself, cos God is with us.
so.... there is only one life. one opportunity. one time. take it, live it and don't ever regret it. cos, you may never get a second chance. joan did not get her second chance, but her life is full.
my prayers to joan. live strong. god is with you.
another useless thought
