human innocence. we have lost it.... totally

have you ever looked at a baby and say..."oh..the baby is so cute" ..... no matter how ugly the baby is, bald....one eye big and one eye small, babies with down sydrome...and also babies born with a handicap. they are always so cute no matter what stupid things they do.

i was looking at a baby the other day at the hawker center. his mum was carrying him and eating. he was cute, big eyes and everything. his every little movement was cute. biting the metal table. sucking his own hand and just ate whatever his mum puts into his mouth. he was happy and almost laughing all the time. he has no worries at all....just minding his own business...lost in his own world.

then it sets me thinking...... it totally fried my brains!! i ask myself.... have i ever seen a baby that is not cute?

2miniutes pass.... half my noddles are gone...... and i was still thinking and staring at the baby boy.

he was just so innocent

then i summed up my conclusion after finishing my noodles..... 15 minutes later.

i guess we as adults have grown out of our innocence. our eyes are blinded by all the material things in this world. we simply refuse to see the innocence in everyone. we see ugly people. we bitched about others. we let money take over our lifes. we see others as stupid. we plot for others downfall. we back stabbed. we robbed..we kill....we initiate war....we threathen...we are simply EVIL!

we cannot see the innocence in others anymore. we see ugly people. we see handicap as someone not perfect or someone punished by god. we see poor people and we define them as lazy people. we see colors. black, brown, yellow and white. we see religious difference when all religion tell us to love one another.

simply put, we begin to realise that we are naked, just like adam and eve suddenly realised that they are naked and shameful of thier disobedience to god. we see wealth and power as the ultimate in life....we chase after it relentlessly....

i guess thats the difference between babies and adults....the have lost of our innocence...forever.....

another usless thought
