i was attending a talk on the catholic liturgy last saturday.

its pretty interesting.....

something came up which got me thinking also.

in the Mass itself, just before we have our communion, the priest will say something like" this is the body and blood of christ" and the congregation response by saying "LORD, I'M NOT WORTHY TO RECEIVE YOU, BUT ONLY SAY THE WORD AND I SHALL BE HEAL."

this is very powerful stuff. faith is really all we need.

the story about the centurion who ask Jesus to heal his servant, Luke 7: 1 -10. The faith of the centurion healed the servant.

Luke 5: 20 -26, jesus heal the cripple cos of his faith, he wanted so much to see jesus, his friends lowered him dowm from th roof. telling him to get up and walk. such is his faith.

yet, after the mass.....people still ask the priest for blessing and healing....

something is wrong somewhere.......

where is the faith? did we not just say in the Mass that only say the word Lord and i shall be heal???

well...catholics are interesting people...... or should i say we have little or no faith in GOD? I am saying these are bad practises, we should stop it and start beliving in God. We catholics have a rich history of traditions dating back to peter.....the first Pope, when jesus say tell peter : You are Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
