looks like things are looking up again.....
i think no one will be more happy then the top top top people in public service.....
not that i want to dwell on it.......
its call public service, monetary gain becomes secondary. why compare public service pay with the private sector? brain drain? i think even it they are paid on par with the private sector, if they have no sense of duty, they will still leave.
we may have a leadership crisis, but i think there will a few good men.... MM lee and his generation is a good example. we we keep using monetary as a yard stick, there will only be one result. that result will be a salary that will keep going up cos the private sectoe will forever be motivated by monetary gain, profits....and to keep top talents.....they will pay.
i dont think we can worry so much about good peole not coming forward to serve the country. we were a poor country once. a few good men came forward to fight for their rights...our rights, not for money, but to build a nation.
maybe we have lost our vision in nation building, for us and for our family and for our enxt generation.
the power of money has blinded many. so how many more millions then will we say enough and stop?
these extra millions can go to better use. wat about increasing the public assistance that dr lily neo have been talking about? she talks about 32 cases in her ward. let jsut say there are only 32 cases in country...if the government increase it by $500 each, it will only be $16,000 more. i wonder if it really hurt ones pocket.
the difference is the lives of these 32 people. their pride, peace, happiness and health is priceless.....
so for once, i pray that nothing more will go up except those who needs public assistant. i also hope that the top top top people will come out to say something...... if theythink money is the main factor, let them join the private sector, i dont think they have the heart to serve the people if money is their motivation.
now i think i am even closer to the hammer.
another useless thought
