i heard over the radio yesternite on my way home......

there were 2 foxs, one from the wild and the other in a cage. both admire each others situation. fox 1 in the cage wanted freedom like fox 2....go wherever he wants and eat whatever he likes. fox 2 loves fox 1 lifestyle too... cos he is fed and never have to fight for food. so they agreed to trade places.... one day both died and they met and they regretted the exchange, cos one died of hunger, the other die of boredom...

the morale of the story, don't be jealous of what others have achieved. the grass may be greener on the other side, but the grass on the other may not suit you at all.

so this made me wonder..... we like to have what others have.


when we have hair, we fuss about it, we complain about it been difficult to manage. when we lose them, we find ways and means to make it grow back....

when you are fat, you want to be thin, and when you are thin, you try to put on weight.

your hdb flat is not enough, you want to upgrade to a condo, you dream of the high life of the rich and famous.

you don't want to have just a korean or japnese car, you want a merc.... a 7 series bmw.

when we are single, we want to get married, when we are married we think of being single and enjoy the freedom as a single... people will say, i want to try marriage life, cos i want to experience it. i want to have a family, i want to have kids because others are doing it. when you have kids, you keep telling people that kids are a chore...better not have them..... you loose all your freedom, cos everything is for the kids.

its vicious.... its never enough. i want more...and more....and more..... what others have, i also want to have...more!

be satisfied with what you already have, to be able to see tomorrow is a blessing.
