just a few years ago, mother's day gift was expensive.....

one stalk of carnation cos $10.....

today, it just got more expensive.....

commericals and advertisement are telling mothers that they should be expecting diamonds....gold... tours... and even massage chairs as gifts as a show of appreciation.... from their children.

there was this radio commercial....a mother lamenting about a massage chair.... she goes on to be nice and say the children work hard for their money.... but then she still hope to get a less expensive massage chair for her mother's day gift!!

goodness..... is this mother's day or massacre day?

no wonder it was so peaceful yesterday...... cos all the mothers must be enjoying her massage chair.... the less expensive one.

there was a very interesting article in the papers yesterday... a son use his winnings to pay for her mum's medical bill....for the month.... he was overjoyed cos thats the first time he is paying for her bill cos he don't earn much and what he makes barely feeds his family. his sister was the one footing the bill all this while.

this is touching.... all his winnings goes to her mum.... NOT to his family.... this is a real love and a real mothers day gift...not the less expensive massage chair.....stupid advertisers! they make mothers look cheap!
