Not working on saturday is good. you can do so much more.

my life begins with 5 day week this month... i was like sleeping late.... going out... see the world...have tea break... spending time with the wife and yes and do my fav thing...go to the wet market to buy food!!!

life was good..only on weekends! heh...

we spend last weekend hunting.... for a TV for my mum, hers finally broke down after 8 years in service.

i have never brought a TV set for the house ever.... so it was a first for me and the wife. i can tell you..it was HARD!!!!!!!!

HD ready...??? HDMI 1??? HDMI2??? 6000:1..??? 15000:1..??? LG good...samsung better.... then there are these branded japanese LCD..... branded korean LCD... Hunydai LCD... and i tot they only manufacture cars!!!! all the funny brand names.... then there 19 inch LCD...not HD ready....HD compatible.... LCD panels made in japan.... parts in malaysia.... the saleman was going on and on and on and on...and on....and on..... wah lau...i was like.......*FAINTZ*

then there are stories about CRT not being able to view TV programmes anymore once very thing goes HDa t the end of the year or by march when Starhub is no more the cable TV station!!!..hmmm.....

we went to havey norman at parkway... it was 930pm on a late saturday after much looking asn asking silly questions.... we settle for a 19inch yashica...yes yashica (apparently an established brand in US) $450 with 5 years warranty.... and guess what!?!?..we paid for it.... and decided to check the tv just in case. and when the salesman open up the box.... there was a different brand of tv inside...grundig!!!! i was like...what the....***** and fortunately or unfortunately... it was the LAST set!!!

we decided to go home. i mean what can we do? it was already almost 10pm....sigh.... we will go hunting the next day.

don't ask me about LCD TV cos i still don't know what the hell are they....

we went from hunting a 20 inch LCD for my mum to a 37 inch SHARP LCD for the living room!! cos its simply not worth to by a 20inch LCD for her if its not HD ready and no on site warranty!! oh yes..whats on site warranty and agent warranty and all that shit!!!!

so mum will take the existing CRT TV in the hall and the hall will get a brand new SHARP 37" LCD TV...

i am just so damm glad that my ordeal is over..... what an all exciting LCD weekend!!!
