on the first day of chinese new year, we visited a relative and there we had a meaningful discussion on the hot topic - politics!!!

yes... politics and living in the land of sillypour....

first off...cab fare. and with this hand in hand...erp. so they increase all the charges for taking a cab... the purpose is to help cabbies earn more.... maybe...then a week later....it was announced that erp rates is going up...no more by cents...but by a dollars!! this in turn raise the cost of taking a cab for consumers. imgaine your cab fare is $5 but all other charges (which does not goes to the cabby) is $10...... make sense?

and what will consumers do? stop taking cab. so now...can someone enlighten me HOW does all these leads to more income for cabbies?

so it goes top prove, yes they give but they take it back as swiftly as you can see.

the next group of people who suffer....car owners. with the increase in erp, cost of living becomes higher.... some people need the car to make a living mind you!!!

i think all ministers should take a bus, train and drive on the road for a month (on their own) minus all the fuss of reporters and body guards, traffic police and yes men following them around.... and then tell us what they think of the traffic situation.

they should stay in the hdb flats for six month.... and tell us the quality of life is better than before.

another interesting point.... the garhment privatising everything from electricy to water to transport..... they push everything out so if anything goes wrong, the government is not wrong, its in the hands of the private sectors....what a way to push responsibilities.

office rental was next... its a cartel!!! many of the landlords in the businees district are own by T********* H****** left pocket goes into right pocket...... hwo can a unit be left vacant for so many years not be rented out? simply put, they wont want to lower prices to prop up property prices there. if it belongs to a private landlord, it would have been rented out at a lower rate i am sure.

so is there really a shortage of office space? or is it rentals have became amazingly high? i am not too sure.

i think the politicans today have lost touched with the people. they do what they think is right.

flip the obituary page.... how many people you see in that page live pass 80 years old? yes and they say you have to work till you die and you can only draw your money out when you are 65.... and will start paying out the money when you are 85!!!

in other words earn all the money BUT you cannot spend it.

sillypoureans are forgetful people..... in the next election everything that happen this few months will be forgotten. when the time nears, they will release some sweets. and right after that important time, they will take out that bloody thirsty sponge and suck up all the sweets that was given out PLUS INTEREST!!!! and they win again. thanks to the forgetful 66.6%.

i dont see why they cannot give the people some breathing space. why can we have some money? why must everything be taxed on the people? wahts is wrong with being no 2 or 3 or last in the world? why are we always fighting to be the no 1?

listen to the people, WE ARE SUFFERRING! there are many people in this land that can hardly afford 1 meal a day. there are many poor and old people who have once contributed to the growth of this land they call home.
