we are totally freaked out nation of been a welfare state..... so much so that we have to work till we die.....YOU CANNOT RELY ON THE GARMENT TO HELP YOU WENT YOU ARE OLD AND HELPLESS.... too bad if you cannot work...u go beg all the agency to give you some money.....

maybe you get extra $20 and it will be all over the papers!

you are expected to live till pass 80.... so with a walking stick...you are to clean tables... work in fast food outlets..... work in production line.... or anything..... just work and get paid and feed yourself PLEASE!!! ....the garment have NO MONEY... foreign banks needs our money.....

imagine....a mere $40 increment and have to be mentioned in the parliament.... and what is there to commend? only $40....not millions.... whats $40? how much can they buy.... food... transport.... and medicine..... all went up!!!

i read with total sadness, this old man....he was given the 'ang pao' budget.... he said...now with the extra money....i can go and buy a pair of new shoes.... i almost cried and my heart sank to a new low when i read that.... its not even food he is thinking of...but a pair of shoe.... i guess its some sense of dignity for him with a pair of shoes. you cannot see an empty stomach, but you can see a man with his bare feet walking on the streets.... its just so sad......

a so called first world country....and there are people who cannot even afford to buy a pair of shoes

oh well...so few poor ppl..makes no diff in the percentage..... won't swing much...by doing a bit is good for the machinery....
