sillypore garhem is actively looking for the next generation of politicians and hopefully he/she is of PM material..... or ministerial material....

and so the search goes on.... and i must say its a very very narrow search. they are only looking at all the straight As students.... ONLY THE SMART PEOPLE join the elite group of people.... and so we are looking at maybe 10% - 15% of the smart people.... to lead the sillporeans...

its exciting...like american idols.... searching people with talent...the yes man talent. the more yes you can say...the more steps you climb...and eveentually win the coverted idol title...and become pm..... and a mega deal!!!!

why? i mean if you are smart...would you want to join?

paper qualification counts? only smart people knows how to govern a country?

when i was in the army, there are a lot of smart ass officers... yes they are damm good..... at studying!!! the ace every test that comes their way in the army....straight As..... but are they necessary good leaders? hell...some privates are better leaders than these ocs trained people!

i know my officers hide when their boss comes to inspect the site during exercise... i know of officers who abused their powers..... and they all have no respect from their men... and the men have no respect for them.... and i remember very clearly...

yes they are smart.... so? what else?

brain drain is one reason cited for not being able to find smart people to join the government. if i am smart...i would also run away to look for greener pastures...make good money and leave is a less stressful environment, where you know you can retire at 55 and enjoy life after that... even if it means being a second class citizen in another land... cos here you are expected to work till you die! retirement is a dirty word.

a good leader should be someone who can gather a group of good people to work for him and run the government effectively. and the people must be really happy about it. its not about money!!!.... its about someone with people skills.... charisma....

are we happy? maybe for the 66.6% they are happy.... though i am not sure for how much longer.
