"CASE finds many cooked food dishes being sold for S$2.50 and below"
this above is taken from channelnewsasia website.

i had rice the other day. it give a whole new meaning to economical rice. and its no where near the $2.50 case mention. its $2.80 (and its only 3 veg and NO MEAT) if you have 2 veg and 1 meat, its gonna be at least $3 if not more.

was it a fair survey?

it was reported "Still, the consumer watchdog said it was a random survey and so not all prices at food stalls islandwide have been captured." if its not comprehensive, why release the survey...sorry i meant a useless survey?

feel good factor? propaganda? i don't know. all i know is my food is at least $3. wanton mee, my fave....is $3 now.... the char siew is now cut to about 100gms paper thickness.... the noddles 2 mouths and its all gone and best of all, the wanton, i am not sure if it should be just called wanton skin??

some prices may have stayed at $2.50, but i am damm sure the quantity is much lesser.

i am not sure if they want to hurt these hawkers business by publishing such survey. make consumers angry with those who charge more? complain more? so that those who charge more gets punished???

why don't CASE take on the bigger boys...like the oil cartels? the communication and media industry even HDB. why take on the hawkers, who cannot do anything to the increase in everything......oils goes up, everything else goes up.

thee price have petrol have increase more than 12 times over the year...and all we heard from them was this *......................................................***

yes... a year of dead silence..... if there is a time to hear a pin drop on the carpet, the last year was the time to witness such amazing scenario.

a case (no punt intended) of "whack the small boys to make them look and feel good factor" syndrome. i don't know if its a useful organisation

i don't know....all i know is its another useless thought.
