its a joke. sillypore sends a indonesia player instead of sillypore player to the olyimpics cos they think he is a medal hopeful...when he cannot even make the first round of the singapore open. worst, the world number one, peter grade says he is not a medal contender.....

the reasons the council give for not sending a born and bred singaporean is i think a very very weak excuse. they say the indon guy have experience, rank higher....and the singapore guy is still young and time is on his side.... i cannot understand.

don't you think that because he is young, that's why you need to send him for these events? overall i think he did much better than that indon guy. he will have more fire to do well and push himself harder.... he wants to make his country proud..... after all it is HIS country.... u think the indon guy care?

i rest my case about FT now. maybe the spore guy should just go to the country up north..be second class and have a better opportunity to play in the olympics.

how much is it to send a player with potential to the games? as compares to the amount of money we have in the reserves? is he not worthy at all to be given a opportunity? is $10,000 - $20,000 to send him there too much money when we are wasting so much on FT? giving them cheap citizenship, taking care of them, providing them everything they need....and all....... and at the slightest of setback...they run back to the own country...... never to return.

we have good locals sports people...but we are sending in FTs...... i don't wish we win another medal in the olympics.... if its a FT...there is simply no pride at all....we bought it, thats all. tan howe liang will forever be the only true born and bred medalist, who sacrifice everything for his country.
