well it finally happened.

i was just telling myself yesterday, the world is in chaos! people are protesting all over the world with price of fuel and food sky rocketing.

YET, here in the land of silly little people..... it was damm quite. its just so sad. we are suffering but we choose to keep quite...very very quite. no one made a single sound of any price hike. our standard of living have gone up so fast, so high and so soon.

so it happen today. 5 more ERP up and to go through any one of them you pay more. by the way, oil price are still heading north.

i guess we are all immune to the word 'more', 'increase' or 'high' or anything associating with the word 'up'.

so there i was sitting under the coconut tree by the sea thinking.... IF...

IF i joint the opposition...what can i do to counter the present people in power and make people vote and believe in me? and that I can lead them to the future and beyond...

so here goes...

1. first off - form a shadow government. i will have my number 2 (i think my wife is a good candidate), economic czar, home minister (can or cannot sing is not a requirement), health minister, foreign minister, education minister, all these people will serve with their hearts and not with their 4As in the certificate. 1 will get rid of all the yes man. salary will be slash by 60%. and of course this will be a solid team that have the capabilities to run the country.

2. stupid as it may seem, but i think i will slow down the economy, cool everything down. i want the people to be able to breathe. take stock of their lives and families... really breathe. so it will be five day week for all (real 5 days and not squeeze 6 day work to 5 days)....those who oppose can leave the country. no such thing as urgent...the only urgent job that i will allow is if you want to pee or shit.

3. i will stop the stupid race of been number one in everything. i will urgently need to drill into peoples head that been number 2...3....4... or last... or to fail is fine. you are allowed to fail, just pick yourself up and fight on again.

4. i will allow protest (non-violent)... i will designate a place for them to protest (padang??).... 'speakers corner' will come to live (no need permit). i will listen to the people and work with them. grassroot people have better buck up and don't be a yes man group!

5. continue to build good infrastructure and prepare for the future and beyond.

6. will continue the trade policies that are good and beneficial to my homeland

7. priority will be to help the poor and old. all their need will be met. all senior citizens will get concession to everything from food to transport to places of interest. they will be issued with senior passes 20% - 50% off no question asked. public transport concession 50% off all day, 365 days!

8. to reduce congestion on the road, i will slowing take down all the ERP system over a 5 year period. people who wants to buy car must earn a salary cap before they can buy a car (much like applying for credit card) so i expect cars to be reduce in 5 - 10 years time, maybe less. business people will need to apply if they need to get vehicles for transport and work.

9. no more importing of sports talents. we don't win medals..so be it. FT are most welcome to work and study here, but they will have to pay for it. no concessions or subsidies.

10. a whole new set of education will be incorporated into the current system. everyone must respect the professionalism of any job. yes...even the road sweeper and the toilet cleaner. we have to learn all over again to be humble and be nice to fellow humans. education will encourage creativity and will have less stress. babies will be banned from attending class at the age of 4 and below (they need to be kids... and play and be naughty)

11. the enemies of the state will be eliminated. yes, i want to make this place like new zealand (there are no snakes there). so there should be NO lizards here. it will be an all out war on them. the only place you can see them will be in the zoo!

these are just 11 points i have came up with....may not be solid yet.... i have to sit under the coconut tree to think again, it was getting late, so i stopped thinking at point 11 and left.

there are still much to do... maybe i take on obama's tag line..."CHANGE"... hmmm...
