SNOC confident S'pore won't take another 48 years to win an Olympic medal

this is taken off from CNA website....
i was like sure it wont take another 48 years.... simply because we already have the license to give away more cheap citizenships to potential sports people...hot from the current games.... no doubt
why....we could be IN the soccer world cup in another 8 years...... cos we did not buy fast enough for the 2010 world cup!
so i also read that tan howe liang was born in china, sautow.... and so it is justified that the current winners are on the same league as mr tan..... i beg to differ.... he came NOT by invitation of cheap citizenship...i bet he work very hard to earn his keeps..... and make a name for himself..... but he was a forgotten man for a long time..... we only remember him every 4 years.... and his name pops up....as the only medal winner. he was a poor man... and i mean in monetary terms.... for the only man to win a medal.... we treated him badly. so we really cannot compare him with the current crops.... its just different...... so i guess we should report the news correctly.....
yes...i still say i am happy we won...but i am not proud of it at all.....
cheers to our new sport citizens..... on their sojourn here....
you can say i am cynical.... i am not proud to be singaporean whatever.....
maybe i am cynical....
but i am proud of been a singaporean.....
we can argue and fight till the cow comes home jumping over the blue moon..... the fact remain.... we gave them citizenship to play for us to win medals. i am just not proud of the way we brought... i mean won our second medal.....
another useless thought
