how to survive with just $1 a day. there is a very interesting article i read in the papers the other day about this lady who survive with just a dollar everyday.

it a separate article, there is this young girl, an under graduate who thinks nothing of spending her parents money freely.... even with this current financial crisis..... she have the cheek to say that her friend don't have enough money and was worried.... and questioned why she don't just ask her parents for money!!!

and this are the "TOP" students we are cultivating and to lead our country in the future..... and i am sad for her parents...... and good luck to her.

anyway... i don't want to talk about her..... i want to talk about my survival with just a dollar for a day.

it makes me think HOW i can even do it for breakfast only...... a cup of kopi is already 80cents and i am left with 20 cents for the rest of the day.... how interesting....

i am going to put it to a test. yap!! survive on just a dollar for just a day.

so here goes.....

i will skipped breakfast and...and no kopi for me...... just water....which i can fill in a water bottle from a nearby FREE entry toilet. i will buy 60 cents worth of chicken rice (just rice and no chicken) and ask for 4 packets of chilli..... half packet for lunch and the other for dinner....

hey...i still have 40 cents let over!!! in the mean time, i have to collect cardboard boxes to sell so make ends meet, cos i will still have to pay rent and some electricity bill...and also medicine money.

lucky for me, i can still go to FREE TCM clinic.....

so every other day i can have a cup of kopi O..... at 60cents.... IF and IF i feel rich that day....
(with milk is a bit expensive..cos its will cost me 80cents.....)

so imagine you are doing it for a year.... simple? ..... can you?

am i making a joke out of this.....NO!!!!! and for that matter, this is not a funny thing. it could be a reality in a not too distant future.

i am just sad that a fellow human have to live like that. i cannot imagine how a person can survive on just a dollar everyday for a long periiod of time..... and here i am only talking about doing it for a day!!!!
