"Road death: Driver took advantage of faulty speed limiter"

the above is the headline from AsiaOne..... and the best part is the drive was jailed for only 8 months!!! that's dirt cheap for causing a man death!!!

i am concern... i do drive a car.

speeding of such heavy vehicles is a norm on the road... i see it everyday. they drive faster than me!!!! and it is scary. they think they are schmi and king of the road..... they have that "i am bigger than you..... what can you do... i sure win" mentality...

is a speed limiter enough? i don't think so.

these are road bullies because they are bigger than all cars on the road and they have no fear.... even if 5 cars smashed onto them all at once, nothing much will happen to them...and they know it. we give way to them to avoid accidents and deaths.

however expensive it is, i think these lorries should be fitted with a 50km/h device... period. no amount of money can be exchange for a life.

8 months is dirt cheap. i hope he can sleep well for the rest of his life. it is no excuse. the company should also be punished for it.
